The 17-acre Idylwood Park is located on the northwestern shore of stunning Lake Sammamish. Here, you’ll find a spacious swimming beach, incredible playground, boat ramp, and much more.

At the Visitor Center, you can enjoy a self-paced, hands-on tour that allows you an in-depth look at tech tools like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Mixed Reality, the future of gaming, and much more.

Test your building skills at the Minecraft booth, or get into the mind of a gamer at the Xbox exhibit. You can also learn all about the incredible history of Microsoft, from its humble start to where it’s headed next.

3. Marymoor Park

There’s something for everyone at Marymoor Park. Here, you’ll find more than 640 acres devoted to a range of outdoor activities. From soccer, baseball, and cricket fields to rock climbing walls and biking trails, there’s no shortage of ways to spend the day! There’s also a large dog park loved by locals, so be sure to bring your four-legged friend along!

4. Redmond Town Center

In need of a little retail therapy? You can’t go wrong with a visit to Redmond Town Center.

This two-level shopper’s paradise features more than 120 stores, 20 restaurants, six fitness studios, and three hotels! If adverse weather keeps you from enjoying the great outdoors, head here for plenty of can’t-miss excitement.

5. Sammamish River Trail

Running alongside the Sammamish River, this trail is wide and paved. This makes it a popular spot for walkers, bikers, and anyone who wants to enjoy the beauty of the adjacent waterfront. You’ll even find trail access for horseback riding!

Spanning roughly 11 miles, the trail runs from Marymoor Park to Blyth Park in nearby Bothell. Take your time and meander through the beautiful scenery, taking in unforgettable views of the Sammamish River Valley, Cascade foothills, and Mount Rainier.

6. K1 Speed Seattle

Looking for an indoor adventure that’s sure to delight any thrill-seekers in your group? The indoor karting tracks at K1 Speed Seattle fit the bill! Here, both adults and juniors alike can race electric carts for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Located near Marymoor Park, this challenging track is exhilarating but can accommodate a range of ages and abilities. 7. Evans Creek Preserve

Ready to lace up your hiking boots? At the Evans Creek Preserve, you’ll find nearly 180 acres of natural forest. Built by the Washington Trails Association (WTA), it also winds through a variety of local ecosystems, including wetlands, meadows, and sprawling hillsides. When you go, remember to bring your binoculars along. The preserve is a popular bird-watching spot and is also ADA-accessible!

8. Cave B Estate Winery

Do you enjoy a glass of artisan wine? If so, Cave B Estate Winery is certainly worth a stop. A pillar of Washington wine country, this award-winning boutique winery is home to an impressive variety of wines and produces approximately 6,000 cases per year.

The winery has two tasting rooms. In addition to the Woodinville Tasting Room in Redmond, you can travel about two hours away to the Quincy Tasting Room! Make a day of it, and plan to sip and savor among the countryside.

9. FLEE Escape Room
