What does in and out of network mean?

Dental insurance companies have a set allowable fee for services that they will cover and do not base their coverage on your dental providers actual fees. For doctors who are considered within their network, the percentage of the fee covered is often higher than for those who are outside of their network. Preventive care, for example, is often presented as 100% covered by many insurance companies. Unfortunately, that’s not a full look at the situation and can be misleading. It means the dental insurance company will pay up to 100% of the allotted fee they’ve determined is allowed for a preventive care visit. That fee may not be in line with what your dental care provider charges. The dental insurance company is setting the allotted fee based on their own metrics instead of what the dental care provider’s fee actually is.

Why doesn’t your office participate or accept certain policies?

Our focus is on providing you the care you need in the manner that will promote the best long-term health solution. As such, we have chosen to opt out of participating in certain insurance contracts. Some insurance companies require deep discounts on the fees we charge, and if allowed, this can adversely affect the quality of care you receive, the quality of materials used in dental procedures, and the reliability of the labs we work with.

What insurance do you accept?

We accept most major dental plans. We also offer a complimentary benefits evaluation. Just give us a call to schedule yours to discuss optimizing your insurance benefits for the care you need.

What if I don’t have insurance?

If you don’t currently have insurance, there are other payment solutions. If you are looking for comprehensive dental care, we have created our membership programs to help you receive the care you deserve. If you are interested in specific services like cosmetic or implant dentistry we have several financing and loyalty plan options available to help.
