Smile Test Drive
Try your new smile on for size.
Transforming your smile with cosmetic dentistry is a personal and meaningful investment that should reflect your wants and needs. If you’ve been considering cosmetic dentistry to correct chipped, gapped, discolored, or mildly misaligned teeth, Dr. Tyler offers a Smile Test Drive that lets you see how your smile will change before you undergo any procedures.
During a Smile Test Drive appointment, Dr. Tyler will temporarily place tooth-colored composite resin on your teeth and artfully sculpt a lifelike replica of your proposed cosmetic dentistry treatments, like porcelain crowns or veneers. Along with allowing you to sense how your new smile will feel, a Smile Test Drive allows you to see how your smile will uplift your facial aesthetic, and is easy to remove. It also gives you the chance to adjust your smile goals to better fit your vision.
You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions before you go on your way with your Smile Test Drive in place. This will allow you the chance to get used to your appearance, ask trusted family or friends for their opinion, and take a few selfies to refer to later when you’re ready to make your decision. It will simply peel off later that day when you’re ready.
If you feel ready to make your trial smile a reality, our office team will work with you to schedule the next step in your cosmetic dentistry treatment.
What are porcelain veneers?
Porcelain veneers are thin shells of high-quality dental porcelain that are bonded to the surface of targeted teeth to correct stains, discoloration, chips, gaps, unevenness, and crookedness. One of the most versatile and transformative cosmetic dentistry treatments, porcelain veneers are available in over a dozen tooth-colored shades and are custom-crafted to create a luminous, youthful, and natural-looking smile that complements your entire facial aesthetic.
What are porcelain crowns?
A porcelain crown is a lifelike prosthetic tooth that fully encases a tooth that’s decayed, cracked, broken, misshapen, or weakened. Sculpted from durable, translucent dental porcelain that mirrors the color and sheen of your natural teeth, porcelain crowns are completely metal-free and designed to fit, feel, look, and function just like your natural teeth.
E-MAX and Zirconia Crowns
At Duvall Dental Center, we offer both e.max and zirconia crowns to help you achieve the right combination of aesthetics and durability for your unique needs.
Natural-looking and biocompatible, zirconia crowns are biocompatible and strong enough for crowns at the back of your mouth. Made of a white metal oxide called zirconium dioxide, zirconia crowns are incredibly durable and resistant to wear and cracking. Zirconia crowns are one of the most durable tooth-colored materials available.
Most dentists and patients agree that e.max crowns are even more tooth-like than zirconia crowns. Because of its lifelike appearance and resistance to chipping, e.max is the main material we offer our patients, especially for restoring front teeth. E-MAX crowns are made of a glass ceramic called lithium disilicate, a highly durable and translucent glass ceramic that can be precisely milled to match the sheen, shape, and strength of your natural teeth.
